Three Reasons Why You Never Have Anything to Wear
Are you the person that has to buy a new outfit every time you have an event to go to? How about, you spend countless hours tearing your closet apart but can never pull any looks together when the time comes. I understand. I recently challenged myself with a ten day Holiday wear look book and guess what. I shopped my closet and I didn’t have to go out and spend any money. If this sounds like you or someone you know just keep reading. I am here to help!
Reason Number One
You have not identified your personal style. At a certain age you should know what works for you and what doesn’t. Ask yourself what do you feel the most confident in? What are the clothing pieces that you get complimented the most in? Once you narrow down your personal style (through trial and error) everything you buy should be focused on just that. What works for you. This takes me to the second reason.
Reason Number Two

You rely on trends too much. The key word is trends. Let me say this without offending anyone. Sis you don’t have to run out and buy the latest and greatest. Everything does not work for us. I really don’t want to be wearing the same items as my 23 year old daughter. She is at the appropriate age when it’s alright to try trends. But as we mature, I cannot express to you enough once you have identified your personal style you will be less likely to feel the need to jump on trends.
Reason Number Three
You are into quantity instead of quality. You believe in buying a lot of clothes but not necessarily buying quality clothes. I’m not speaking of expensive clothes but a good pair of black pants can take you places. When taking care of, quality pieces are going to last longer than the pieces that often fall apart after one wash. Let me provide an example. I am in the military and I wear a uniform for work daily. However, we are in business casual once a month and I have worn the same pair of black Zara pants each time with a different top of course and guess what…nobody has called me out on it. Lol. What I’m telling you is by investing in key pieces you will always have something to wear.
Thank you for taking time out to read my blog and don’t forget identify your personal style, you don’t have to try every trend and quantity over quality.
